About Emi
Emi Ito, OTR/L, CHT, CLT, CEAS
Emi is a South Bay native who earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. She began her career in acute hospital care before completing a specialized hand therapy fellowship in Houston, deepening her expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation.
Emi is a Certified Hand Therapist — a nationally recognized credential that requires passing a rigorous board exam and signifies advanced expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation. She also holds certifications as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist, supporting her commitment to holistic and specialized care.
In addition to clinical practice, Emi teaches in academic settings and professional seminars. Outside of work, Emi enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son.
Emi is dedicated to empowering clients through personalized rehabilitation, helping patients understand their conditions and confidently navigate their path to recovery. Her innovative and creative approach combines evidence-based techniques with compassionate care to achieve meaningful, lasting results.
