Emi Ito, OTR/L, CHT, CLT, CEAS
Emi is a South Bay native who earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. She began her career in acute hospital care before completing a specialized hand therapy fellowship in Houston, deepening her expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation.
Emi is a Certified Hand Therapist — a nationally recognized credential that requires passing a rigorous board exam and signifies advanced expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation. She also holds certifications as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist, supporting her commitment to holistic and specialized care.
In addition to clinical practice, Emi teaches in academic settings and professional seminars. Outside of work, Emi enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son.
Emi is dedicated to empowering clients through personalized rehabilitation, helping patients understand their conditions and confidently navigate their path to recovery. Her innovative and creative approach combines evidence-based techniques with compassionate care to achieve meaningful, lasting results.

Dominique Soriano, MSOT, OTR/L
Dominique (Domo) earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She was awarded several recognitions and scholarships including the CSUDH Burgundy & Gold Scholarship, California Federation of Occupational Therapy Frank J. Biehl Scholarship, and AOTA/AOTF Institute of Future Scientist recognition.
During her clinical training, Dominique developed a particular interest in hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation. Here, she gained experience with Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and developed client-centered treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, and functional performance.
Outside of work, Dominique enjoys traveling with her partner, trying new foods, and spending time with her Shih Tzu and Miniature Poodle.
Dominique is passionate about collaborating with patients to regain their independence and confidence in performing meaningful everyday activities. She strives to create a supportive and collaborative environment where patients feel empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Zhaina Macan, Patient Care Coordinator
Zhaina has experience in healthcare, banking, e-commerce, and administrative support. At JOVIA, she helps coordinate patient calls, scheduling, insurance, and other administrative needs, helping patients navigate the process of receiving care.
Committed to helping patients feel welcomed and supported throughout their care, Zhaina strives to provide a positive experience from their first interaction with JOVIA.
Outside of work, Zhaina enjoys baking and reading while listening to music. She also likes spending her weekends learning new things and exploring new interests.
